Koh Phangan: Full Moon Party

Hello all,

Sorry for the dellay in posts lately. We are working on a tight budget, and it seems the net is much more pricey on the islands. We are getting ready for our fourth night on Koh Phangan island in Thailand. Crazy place. Full of people gathered from all over to party under the full moon, the party is officially tomorrow night, but we have been at it for 5 days now.

Pretty much just a crazy party on the beach, with various clubs and every store and stand sells buckets of Samsom, Thai Rum with pop and redbull, mixed in a bucket and served with as many straws as you require. Pretty damn addictive. Although the sand tends to sneak in if you're not careful, but hey whats a little dirt.

We are living in luxury this week, and paying for it. Hot shower and aircon that works sporadically. Expensive island, but everywhere is full. Jeff is not quite sick of sharing a room with two girls yet, although I imagine he will be relieved if he ever gets privacy again.

So we are getting decked in blacklighyt paint and heading to the beack tonight for another great dance party. Its like greatest hits on repeat. Awesome. Balf: you'd love it! We leave in two days for Bangkok again, to send Jeff off...unless we can convince him otherwise. And then to Cambodia.

Will post pics soon....kidding here they are!!

On the Road Again

So I hope you all realized that it's not cause I'm shy that I don't write, it's because I'm lazy, seriously have any of you ever gotten an e-mail from me? Anyways, we head to Ko Pan Yang tomorrow for our first full moon party- very exciting.
Just got back from a sunset walk to another end of the island, Jeff got us a little lost and we ended up on quite the trek but it was worth it in the end. We took it pretty easy today since last night was the last night of a festival going on here where they tried but failed to break the world record for the most people scuba diving at the same time, luckily nobody felt bad enough about to ruin the party. They had a Mr.Dive charity auction and some really good bands, the Thai Ska band was our favorite. And Geeritt- you'd never guess, they had German sausage available at the festival, not just Thai food around here.
Sorry for the short post but I'm hungry so hopefully somebody can let Jade and Damien know where we'll be (on Ko Pan Yang till at least the 15th) and to come meet us if they can. Thanks. Love and miss you all, hugs and kisses....Carla
