On Ko Chang

So here we are after a full days travel and an overnight train to Bkk, which was pretty comfortable. The whole thing converts into beds and we hung our laundry everywhere...wasn't yet dry. Not sure if it was alright, but no complaints. So spent two nights in Bkk, and sent Jeff off home to Vancouver. Miss the guy already....who will kill all the bugs?? No really, we had a great time with Jeff. I feel we were quite spoiled travelling with him and getting a good intro to Thailand before being sent out on our own. We miss you Jeff!!

Now we are on Ko Chang, another Thai island, staying on Lonely Beach (Siam) looking for some peace and quiet. Spent the last three days hanging out with the local boys, some Aussie's and a few Thai's on vacation. Our newest chaperones: Noy and Crazy took us to the waterfalls yesterday. We swam and layed on the rocks, and got a free tour of the island by way of motorbike, watched a cockfight, and baought a 5 Liter Jug of Moonshine (80%) for 160 B (about 4$ CAN, from a couple elderly women with huge smiles. I learnt to drivethe bike as well, which was sooo fun. Carla looked a bit nervous, but enjoyed the ride. Then Noy made us a great dinner at his hut, and tried to convince us to get bamboo tatoos (he is an artist) we will see.

Today we are moving to Whitesand Beach, to get back into the action, and hopefully meet up with a couple Bowen friend, Damien and Jade for a few days. But first I have to get Carla out of bed!

till next time, R
